<![CDATA[Wings Of Faith Fellowship - Blog]]>Mon, 18 Jan 2016 04:45:08 -0800Weebly<![CDATA[WHAT?]]>Sun, 18 May 2014 12:40:35 GMThttp://wingsofaith.weebly.com/blog/what1Th 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.

1Th 5:15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

Now there is a couple of hard verses for all of us. They sound good on paper, but, the reality is they are hard to put into practice at times. Why is that?

At times we let our perception of people take over and think things like, "well they aren't good people, etc etc". BUT, that is not what these verses say. Help the weak....Period! Not help the weak if they fit your perception of them if they are good people or nice people. Just help the weak.

Do Good to one another.....Period! Not do good to those that do good to us or thank us or appreciate us or can do something for us. NO! Just Do Good. WHY? Because its the right thing to do.

But a lot of times we don't do that ...do we? We let our own, sometimes misguided, feelings get in the way. But we are not to do that. Forget about what "they" can do for you or how they treat you, Turn the other cheek and do good, regardless.

That is what is hard to do, but we should stop and think and be slow to react Jas 1:19 and quick to hear! Hear What? Hear from Poppa God what is the right thing to do and what would He want us to do and act! That's What!

<![CDATA[Because]]>Tue, 13 May 2014 00:32:30 GMThttp://wingsofaith.weebly.com/blog/becausePicture
So let me ask, should we only care to help if its someone we know? if its someone that we hope will say thank you? If its someone we like?

I think NOT. We are told to reach out to all! Not just those in our chose clique!

Wasn't it Jesus himself that went to Samaria and even preached a bit to the woman at the well? John 4:7
These were folks that were not friendly to the Jews, yest Jesus still went! Why? because it was the Right Thing To Do?

So how are we to be any different to people that may not be in our "group" or may not like us?

What should we do? Be nice to people because you never know how your actions my affect others! Rom 12:20

We should do things for people NOT because they can do something for us! We shouldn't do things hoping to get a thank you. We don't look for anything in return. Luke 6:35

We DO Because..................It's The Right Thing To Do!

<![CDATA[Verse for Us All]]>Thu, 17 Apr 2014 13:05:45 GMThttp://wingsofaith.weebly.com/blog/verse-for-us-allUp first is 2 Cor 5:14-15
Lets look at the first part of that, “The Love of Christ Controls us”. To What end and for
what purpose.
  • Keeps us as believers together in our work to Him to show His love to others
  • He assumed a human nature for us and showed great love for us by dying for us

“if one died for all then we all have died, or were dead”. Wow that sounds confusing , right.
But look at it this way:
  • Jesus died for us all ---”one died”
  • Why, because we are all sinners and should be accountable for that. Accountable:
             by being separated from God
By being condemned to eternal punishment
Keep in mind this does not mean that ALL are justified in Him by His death,
but all have the opportunity to be so.
“and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves
but for him who for their sake died and was raised”
  • We live according to His love and what He stated in the Bible
  • His raising from the dead was for us, to accept what He did for us and choose Him and therefore justification
  • Then we begin the journey on to sanctification
We no longer live for just ourselves and our own desires but attempt to live for Him
and to let His life show thru our own. We try the best we can do do for others first.
We are not always successful in that but, because He loved us first, we can love
Him and therefore come to see the world thru Jesus’ eyes.
We can of course go deeper into these verses but I believe there is enough here
for us all to ponder on!]]>
